GIFT is a three-year research project that started in January 2016.
Working with our long-term collaborators at the University of Nottingham’s Mixed Reality Lab, Blast Theory is developing a series of prototype experiences for museum visitors. We are building an app allowing you to create a gift for a friend by exploring the collection in a museum.
I worked along side Blast Theory to create two apps. The first was a mobile app using React Native, and the second was a web app using React.
Both apps allowed participants to create a museum experience they can share with friends via their mobile phone.
The apps were build using React Native (Expo), React and a Node.js API. GIFT was trialled at Brighton Museum in July 2018.
